Serving Foster Youth and Foster Families
In the Spring of 2014, Jason Warner, the founder of SAFE, relocated from Houston, TX to Franklin, Tennessee and purchased a ranch outside a village called Leipers Fork. He and his partner named the ranch 'Gratidude Ranch' and made a commitment to use the ranch as a vehicle for helping others while being of service to the local community. SAFE's operations was moved to the ranch.
The ranch offered the perfect space for SAFE to launch its first official program offered in Tennessee, www.FosterAFarmPet.org, where local families in the community are given the opportunity to foster an animal of their choice on the ranch for a monthly donation. Families and locals who may not be in a position to foster can choose to www.SponsorAFarmPet.org, making a farm pet available to a foster child, or the community is invited to visit the ranch for day visits for a suggested donation. All donations support SAFE and its mission. Additional events such as concerts, spiritual retreats, workshops, and summer camps including music, art and drama will also help SAFE further its work with foster children and foster families in Middle Tennessee.
The ranch is a beautiful mini-farm located just 8 miles from historic Leipers Fork Village, less than 20 miles south of Historic Downtown Franklin, TN, approx 10 minutes from the well-known Loveless Cafe, and approx 45 minutes from downtown Nashville. The pets on the ranch include four miniature donkeys, two ponies, two goats, two pyrenees, three miniature piglets and five chickens!
The ranch is a place many can call 'home'.
